Sunday!!!

it's a Sunday night!
watched Cowboy bebop: the movie earlier on tonight. i have been able to watch it already but the three haven't yet. of course it's anime. and it's a serious one at that, set in the future where planet mars already has inhabitants and bounty hunters abound because of the corruption in the system of governance (gee whiz, when you think about it, the future that is portryaed there is not really an idyllic place to live in even if it's oh-so-modern). great animation. good story. other fans have got to catch it. and of course, it's got chock-full of self-reflections about reality. at the end of the closing credits, there's a black screen with the words: Do you live in the real world?

yes, i'm back here in dagupan. i watched the terminal this afternoon with mom and dad on pirated vcd which didn't seem much so. it was actually directed by steven spielberg and it's really good. there were lots of funny scenes but it's not lost on those. (i don't think i'm writing coherently here) with tom hanks as the main character playing a man from some country named karkozhia whose government was recently overthrown by rebels, you see through the reality of his situation (that being he is not a citizen of any country since the US doesn't recognize the nation of karkozhia at the moment since they do not recognize its government) not only during the very funny scenes but as well as the very serious ones (duh!). hmm.. 'nuff said. i might just ruin the movie with this. anyway,
my mom said it's gonna be one of the movies that she would gladly watch all over again. and take this, she's not so much into watching movies she's watched already.

this morning we went to church. then we were off to citymall for a bit of grocery. milo was also holding a taekwondo tourney for its olympics. anyway, after that, we went to nazareth coz' karen's braces got to have their check up. then we went to nepo mall to have lunch at chowking. i had spare ribs and siomai. splendid enough. then we bought some plato wraps: a wrap 'n roll and ham and cheese for me. yeah.. well on the way to nazareth and while we were waiting for karen, we were telling jokes, with me being the source of most of the funniest (meaning bumebenta) and newest jokes. hehe..

then when we got home we watched the terminal. afterwards, kevin and i played one-on-one basketball, with me trying to duplicate the feat of beating him after my accomplishment yesterday. however, i was unsuccessful this afternoon even after almost four games. at least some of the scores were pretty tight. then we tried to play some volleyball with rj. kinda makes me want to go back to the good 'ol intramurals days back in high school. nakakamiss din.
