I've been at home for almost a month and I've nothing to show for my stay except my expanding body size. There have been three almost-foodfests here at home: the first one was on the mistaken Fathers' Day, the next one on the actual Fathers' Day and last was Mom's birthday two days ago. Today, we ate the last of the food prepared for her 52nd year reckoning.
RJ's and my highschool friends (one for each of us) were there, as well as cousins Toptop and Carla.
Tito Omir and Tito Larry, my mom's younger brothers, and the fathers respectively of our two cousins mentioned, came later in the night. Lola Aning was not to come until the following morning, who, after regaling my Mom and me with funny anecdotes, was bitten on her eyelid by a bee while she was picking out guava and atis fruits from our backyard.
Besides spaghetti, palabok, mamon from Rubis, barbeque and beef steak, we also had two Selecta ice creams: Brownie Fudge ala Mode and Quezo Real. The former was very delicious wile I missed the taste of the latter, since it has been years since we last ate that flavor. However, the quezo ice cream was not well-mixed since there were large ice crystals still very evident, just like in another ice cream we had weeks ago. This may be something for Selecta's QC or R&D team to look into.
